As a member of our team you will architect, analyze, and code procedures for fault-tolerant quantum error correction, state distillation, and related topicsThere are opportunities to branch out in a variety of directions from that starting pointThis position requires work on site located at our Northrop Grumman's facility in Aurora, CO Basic Qualifications:--- Ph.Din Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related technical discipline with 9+ years of professional experience post-graduation.
* Strong background in fault-tolerant quantum computation and quantum information theory
* Familiarity with computational methods for analysis and simulation of quantum protocols
* Programming experience in C++ and Python
* Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance per business requirements (US citizenship is required)
* Proven skill at tackling/solving complex problems
* Ability to learn new topics quickly in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work well in a collaborative, diverse environment Preferred Qualifications:--- Familiarity with noise-modeling and/or decoherence mechanisms
* Familiarity with algorithms, quantum algorithms, and/or theoretical computer science
* Familiarity with superconducting qubits or superconducting device physics
* Experience with Mathematica
* Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearanceSalary Range: $190,500 - $285,700 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditionsEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base payAnnual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company resultsEmployees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term IncentivesIn addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
