Supply Planning Specialist - Commerce City Colorado

The supply planning specialist is the focal point for the central supply planning department and the branch s sales force, operations, merchandising and marketing departments. The supply planning specialist is responsible for professional and timely communication with internal and external customers. The specialist supports strategies, planning, and related activities to achieve objectives involving purchasing, storage of product, monitoring order fill, and inventory levels and flow. In addition, they will support sales, operational, and category management needs.Pay is weighted on several factors, compensation starts at $65-75K.Essential Duties:Determine root causes and corrective actions for overstocked and at-risk inventory, coordinating with supply planning managers to address with their teams as necessaryPresent data on behalf of the supply chain team to hold branch sales and ops personnel accountable for reducing at-risk inventory exposureReview and act on various analytical reports to mitigate threats to service level within the branchReview and act on various analytical reports to mitigate obsolescence risk within the branchManage a select group of vendors (generate PO, manage dead inventory, attach new items) specific to the branch and its key customersGenerate emergency/recovery PO s where needed to expedite product needs that would normally be handled through the regular ordering processRepresent supply planning as the point of contact for all warehouse and operational issuesAttend monthly branch sales meetingAttend Category Management, marketing, merchandising meetingOther duties as assignedQualifications: Bachelor's degree from college or university; or 5 years related experience - equivalent combination of education and experience will be consideredClarity or E3 Trim Purchasing Experience or equivalent preferredDemonstrated ability to use Excel and other Office tools, as well as perform moderate to advanced mathematical calculations relating to inventory, is requiredAbility to write routine reports and correspondence as well as to speak effectively before groups of stakeholdersMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust have excellent communication skills both written and verbalSome traveling will be requiredFamiliarity with local foodservice suppliers and distributors in the local market is preferredShamrock anticipates closing the application window for this job opportunity on or before December 31, 2024Corporate Summary: At Shamrock Foods Company, people come first
