We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Locum Nurse Practitioner to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across California. Required Skills: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in California Experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery Knowledge of compensation and pension exam protocols Strong interviewing and physical assessment skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent communication and documentation skills Comfortable with interview-based exams, including range of motion and muscle strength testing Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with veteran healthcare assessments Familiarity with VA protocols and requirements Certification in medical assessment or related fields Ability to adapt to rural and diverse environments Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s or higher degree in Nursing Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice or assessment experience Prior experience in compensation and pension evaluations is a plus Other Requirements: Reliable access to your own practice location with a suitable office setup (for providers with own office) Willingness to travel within designated areas; travel expenses included in rate Must be available to start on 03/06/2026 and commit to ongoing PRN assignments Compliant with all applicable licensure, certification, and compliance standards This is an excellent opportunity to deliver vital services to our veterans while working on a flexible schedule.
