Doctor of Medicine | Neonatal Location: Long Beach, CA Employer: AAS Locum Tenens Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a Board-Certified Neonatology Physician to provide high-quality inpatient care in a busy NICU in Long Beach, California. This locum tenens role offers flexible in-house shift coverage with weekday and weekend options, allowing providers to balance clinical practice with personal commitments. The ideal candidate will have recent clinical experience and be comfortable managing a full range of neonatal cases. Assignment Details: Shift Options: Weekday Shifts: Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Night Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 9:00 AM 24-Hour Shift: Monday–Friday, combining day and night coverage Weekend Shifts: Friday 3:00 PM – Saturday 9:00 AM Saturday 9:00 AM – Sunday 9:00 AM Sunday 9:00 AM – Monday 9:00 AM Coverage: In-house NICU care Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive neonatal care for critically ill and high-risk newborns Participate in daily rounds, bedside procedures, and NICU patient management Collaborate with neonatology team, nursing staff, and other specialists to ensure high-quality care Respond promptly to neonatal emergencies and provide appropriate interventions Accurately document patient care in the hospital EMR Maintain up-to-date knowledge of neonatal best practices and evidence-based care Requirements: Board Certified in Neonatology ( Board Eligible not accepted ) Active California medical license Recent NICU clinical experience within the past 12 months Long Beach is a vibrant coastal city in Southern California, offering a unique mix of urban amenities and beach-town charm.
