Job Description: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Contract Job Type: Contract Position Urgency: Quick Start Duration: 13 weeks Positions Available: 1 Schedule: Day shift Holiday Coverage: Required Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Position Overview We are seeking a qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to support residents in improving functional independence and performance in activities of daily living. Key Responsibilities - Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans - Provide therapeutic activities focused on ADLs, strength, coordination, and functional mobility - Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist - Document treatments accurately and timely in the electronic medical record - Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes - Ensure patient safety and adherence to rehabilitation protocols Required Qualifications - Active California COTA license (must be current) - Minimum 1 year of COTA experience - Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required - Experience with Rehab Optima (NetHealth) documentation system required - Strong communication, time-management, and patient care skills Additional Details - Bilingual skills not required - EMR system: Rehab Optima (NetHealth) Applications will be accepted only from candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and hold the necessary certifications./n About World Nurses World Nurses specializes in the staffing of non-skilled and skilled healthcare personnel.
