Job Description Tenet Desert is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) ED - Emergency Department for a nursing job in Indio, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Duration: Ongoing - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Staff /n Up to $25,000 Sign-On bonus for experienced Registered Nurse / RN /n Shift: Nights /n Job Type: Full Time /n Hours: 1900-0730 /n Position Summary: /n The RN II: Assumes principle responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all Emergency Department patient populations. Independently anticipates professional responsibilities and accepts accountability for professional actions. The RN II uses critical thinking skills both in triage and in providing care for all categories and types of Emergency Department Patients. Oversees RN l's, ED Tech's and CNA's. Uses effective verbal and written skills to communicate with people on all levels, and maintains positive working relationships with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians and participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities and monitoring as requested. 1. Current California Registered Nurse License (maintained at all times). 2. 1-2 years of ER experience 3. Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (maintained at all times). 4. Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification (maintained at all times). 5. Current American Heart Association PALS Certification (maintained at all times). 6. Current NIHSS Certificate. 7. Successful completion of EKG Test. 8. Successful mastery of nursing skills and knowledge related to a RN I position 9.
