Seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support students at an elementary school located in Simi Valley, CA. This contract position begins March 3, 2026, and offers a standard weekday schedule Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 2:15 PM, totaling 32.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: - Assist special education classroom teachers in providing targeted support to students with diverse learning needs. - Support students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, facilitating effective communication. - Utilize assistive technology (AT) tools to enhance student engagement and access to instruction. - Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment tailored to individual student requirements. - Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to implement personalized education plans. Qualifications: - Demonstrated experience working in special education classrooms. - Proven ability to support students utilizing AAC devices. - Familiarity with assistive technology tools that promote communication and learning. - Strong interpersonal skills and patience to work effectively with students with disabilities. - Submission must include two professional references; applications without references will not be considered.
