In this role, you will work closely with students who have various communication disorders, providing critical therapy and support to facilitate their success in an academic setting. As part of our committed team, you will assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in children. Your expertise will contribute to developing individualized plans and implementing appropriate therapies to improve each student's ability to learn and interact in the classroom. Evaluate students' communication skills through diagnostic tests and qualitative assessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student’s needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to facilitate communication and educational integration. Maintain accurate records and reports on students' progress and therapy sessions. Advocate for students with communication disorders within the school environment. Educate parents and school staff on how to support communication development at home and in school settings. Strong understanding of speech-language disorders and appropriate therapeutic interventions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to create and follow through with individualized education plans (IEPs). Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software relevant to speech pathology.
