Log in or register to view more details about this job.Senior Disposal Site Representative positions supervise and participate in the work performed by Disposal Site Representative employees at a City-operated refuse disposal site; schedule and make daily work assignments; balance receipts and deposit checks received; operate credit card terminals; explain and enforce refuse disposal site policies, rules, regulations, and fee schedules to the public; operate and maintain computerized scale and register systems; train and evaluate the work performance of employees; and perform other duties as assigned.NOTES: - Employees in job classifications represented by Municipal Employees Association (MEA) are scheduled to receive the following general wage increases:
- 2% effective 1/1/25
- 5% effective 7/1/25
- In addition to the scheduled general wage increases, the following special salary wage increases are also scheduled to take effect for Senior Disposal Site Representative:5% effective 1/1/255% effective 1/1/26Eligible benefitted employees originally hired on or after July 10, 2021, will be automatically enrolled in the San Diego City Employees Retirement System (SDCERS).MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEXPERIENCE: Six Months of full-time experience calculating and collecting user fees, balancing receipts, explaining and enforcing policies, rules, and regulations at a refuse disposal site or at a similar environment (e.g., toll booth, recycling facility, outdoor parking facility, other outdoor facility).NOTE:
- City of San Diego employees using Out-of-Class Assignment (OCA) experience to qualify must submit written documentation signed by their appointing authority or payroll specialist, detailing the work performed, dates, and total number of qualifying OCA hours. OCA experience without the required documentation will NOT be considered.LICENSE: A valid California Class C Driver's License is required at the time of hire.HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
