Our research focuses on neurovascular-immune mechanisms underlying neurological diseases, with a particular emphasis on neonatal brain injury. This position offers an exciting opportunity to explore the blood-brain-immune interface and its role in neuroinflammation and stem cell dysfunction in the developing brain, with the goal of advancing new treatments for preterm infant brain injury.Located on UCSF's Mission Bay campus, the Petersen Lab provides access to cutting-edge facilities and a collaborative scientific environment. The postdoctoral scholar will employ state-of-the-art techniques, including advanced imaging, animal and cell culture models, multi-omics platforms, and induced pluripotent stem cell technologies, to uncover novel insights into disease mechanisms. This position is ideal for candidates passionate about translational neuroscience and eager to contribute to groundbreaking discoveries.Job RequirementsQualifications

• PhD (awarded within the last three years), MD, or both, in neuroscience or a related field of biomedical research.
• A strong record of academic achievements and research productivity.
• Excellent time management, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
