The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with specific expertise in power systems. This role involves overseeing project execution, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of power system projects. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage power system projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and budget.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Field and Shop Technicians, ensuring high standards of safety and performance.
- Coordinate between Project Managers, field teams, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
- Assess the technical performance of Field and Shop Technicians, and perform annual reviews to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve project and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate current test equipment and make recommendations for future purchases.
- Ensure field compliance with safety standards such as NFPA 70E, OSHA, and Cal OSHA. Conduct random field audits to assess safety and quality.
- Lead investigations into project deficiencies, facilitating corrective actions.
- Respond promptly to daily communications from customers and team members, ensuring smooth project coordination.
- Track, coordinate, and deliver technical and safety training for field personnel.
- Review and approve final project reports, ensuring accuracy and quality.
RequirementsTechnical Expertise: - Experience with electrical testing on low and medium voltage equipment, including substations, switchgears, circuit breakers, instrument transformers, protective relays, motor control centers, transformers, and grounding systems.
- Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA, IEEE, and NFPA standards.
- Familiarity with NETA standards for acceptance, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical systems.
