  • Administers and directs support staff to administer patient treatment as prescribed by a physician.
  • Participates in programs to enhance the quality of patient care and other department functions.
  • Provides mentorship to new employees and student clinical instruction.
  • Responsible for 100% patient care and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies.
  • Performs evaluation and establishes treatment plans based on age specific, cultural, and rehabilitative needs in compliance with hospital licensing and Physical Therapy Practice Act.
  • Provides effective therapy treatments.
  • Delegates patient treatment procedures and modalities appropriately.
  • Provides safe and comprehensive discharge planning.
  • Meets individual productivity department standards.
  • Provides thorough, timely, professional, and consistent patient care documentation.
  • Documents evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries per department policies.
  • Demonstrates appropriate, timely, and professional report writing to physicians.
  • Updates weekly goals and SOAP notes per department policy.
  • Documentation demonstrates minimal to no grammatical errors or typos.
  • Provides clear documentation for missed treatments and gaps in treatment.
  • Documentation indicates medical necessity and clinical progression towards safe and comprehensive discharge.
  • Demonstrates competency in utilizing reports to manage caseload proactively.
  • Utilizes resources to assist with patient flow.
  • Provides education and mentoring for student interns as assigned.
  • Participates in special department programs.
