We seek talented, passionate, and committed engineers, technologists, and business leaders to join us.Why This Role Matters:Supermicro is seeking an experienced IT Physical Security Engineer to join our IT team to enhance and maintain the physical security systems across our corporate campus. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing surveillance systems, building access controls, card readers, and related technologies to ensure a secure environment for employees and assets.What You'll Do: - Design, deploy, and maintain physical security systems, including IP-based surveillance cameras, access control systems, card readers, and intrusion detection systems, with a focus on integrating AI-driven surveillance technologies.
- Leverage AI-driven surveillance systems to enhance threat detection, facial recognition, license plate recognition (LPR) behavior analysis, and automated alerts, optimizing campus security.
- Integrate physical security systems, including AI-based analytics, with existing IT infrastructure to ensure compatibility, scalability, and real-time data processing.
- Conduct regular system assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend upgrades or enhancements.
- Collaborate with facilities, security, and IT teams to ensure seamless operation of physical security measures, including AI-driven insights, across the campus.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, resolving issues promptly to maintain security integrity.
- Develop and update documentation, including system configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, or other relevant frameworks).
- Train end-users and staff on proper use of access control, AI-enhanced surveillance tools, and security systems.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in AI-driven security technologies and physical security to recommend innovative solutions.
- Handle Tier 1 and Tier 2 support tickets, assist with user inquiries, and troubleshoot common IT issues to reflect a broader IT support role, including participation in after-hours support for both physical security and general IT needs.
- Help to set up and maintain corporate-level conference room A/V systems.What You'll Bring:
