You'll also have the opportunity to influence other Infrastructure teams, shape hardware design decisions, and provide comprehensive integration plans. If you're ready to make a significant impact and drive innovation, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities - Architect, design, implement and operate Qualcomm's global data center networks
- Design, implement and operate Qualcomm's local and global load balancing architectures
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Adhere to corporate change management policies and practices
- Lead evaluations and implement new technologies
- Mentor junior engineers, support teams, and customers
- Troubleshoot complex and high-risk data center networks and load balanced applications
- Perform on-call responsibilities
- Perform upgrades, enhancements and configuration changes as needed
- Provide support for Qualcomm's global data center networks
- Provide networking and load balancing support for Qualcomm's data center applications, servers and various operating systems.
- Work with cross-departmental and cross-functional teams
- Learn and deploy next-generation networking technologies
- Closely collaborate with NetOps/DevOps team on network automation and orchestrationMinimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Networked Systems-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.OR9+ years of Networked Systems-related work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
- 8+ years of experience working in large heterogeneous networking environments
- 5+ years of working experience designing and implementing leaf and spine data center networks
- 2+ years of working experience with application delivery controllers including: Local and Global (GSLB) load balancers
- Expert level knowledge of PKI/SSL, SSL Offload, and DNS as it relates to application load balancing
- Experience with HAProxy/NGINX, AWS ELB/ALB, OpenStack or Kubernetes load balancing a plus
- Expert level knowledge and experience with protocols/technologies such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, QoS, vPC/MLAG/CLAG, VXLAN
- Experience and expertise with TCP/IP operations and troubleshooting
- Experience with individual, group and vendor-assisted troubleshooting
- Experience working in data center IT operations and high-risk networks
- Working experience with Windows, Linux, and VMwarePreferred:
