• Architect, design, implement and operate Qualcomm's global data center networks
• Design, implement and operate Qualcomm's local and global load balancing architectures
• Develop and maintain technical documentation
• Adhere to corporate change management policies and practices
• Lead evaluations and implement new technologies
• Mentor junior engineers, support teams, and customers
• Troubleshoot complex and high-risk data center networks and load balanced applications
• Perform on-call responsibilities
• Perform upgrades, enhancements and configuration changes as needed
• Provide support for Qualcomm's global data center networks
• Provide networking and load balancing support for Qualcomm's data center applications, servers and various operating systems.
• Work with cross-departmental and cross-functional teams
• Learn and deploy next-generation networking technologies
• Closely collaborate with NetOps/DevOps team on network automation and orchestrationMinimum Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Networked Systems-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.OR9+ years of Networked Systems-related work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
  • 8+ years of experience working in large heterogeneous networking environments
  • 5+ years of working experience designing and implementing leaf and spine data center networks
  • 2+ years of working experience with application delivery controllers including: Local and Global (GSLB) load balancers
    • Expert level knowledge of PKI/SSL, SSL Offload, and DNS as it relates to application load balancing
    • Experience with HAProxy/NGINX, AWS ELB/ALB, OpenStack or Kubernetes load balancing a plus
    • Expert level knowledge and experience with protocols/technologies such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, QoS, vPC/MLAG/CLAG, VXLAN
    • Experience and expertise with TCP/IP operations and troubleshooting
    • Experience with individual, group and vendor-assisted troubleshooting
    • Experience working in data center IT operations and high-risk networks
    • Working experience with Windows, Linux, and VMwarePreferred:
      • Experience with HPC Grid data center environments
      • Experience in GPU ethernet network architecture and design
      • Experience in NetDevOpsPay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:$148,000.00 - $222,000.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
