Purpose:This position involves providing support for the commercial management of power plant and battery storage assets owned and operated by the company.Responsibilities:Under the guidance of the Vice President/Director of Portfolio & Asset Management, the individual will closely collaborate with colleagues from the Portfolio & Asset Management, Accounting, and Finance departments. The key responsibilities include:Invoicing & reconciliation: Assisting in the preparation and reconciliation of monthly invoices to various counterparties.Budget control & reporting: Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets, proforma, presentations, monthly asset manager reports, and monthly shareholder reports.Regulatory issues: Assisting in overseeing and ensuring compliance with all project permits and licenses. Collaborating with the Legal team in managing FERC registration of management changes.Contracts control: Updating and monitoring existing and new agreements such as Resource Adequacy agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, Gas Purchase agreements, Insurance, and Energy Management Agreements.Financial affairs: Assisting in managing the project's finance/credit agreements, documents, obligations, and guarantees.Plant operational issues: Providing support for plant operational issues including forced outages, unplanned outages, unbudgeted expenses, and analyzing financial impacts.Merchant project monitoring and risk control: Reviewing merchant power plant asset data and updating monthly earnings projections. Supporting merchant risk discussions with project partners.Bachelor's degree in engineering or science, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.Experience in managing complex financial models using Excel.Familiarity with project documents of operating assets/project companies, etc.Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.Self-starter with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and a strong motivation to learn.Preferably, experience within the electric power generation industry, including asset management or operations roles.by Jobble More...
