Issues may arise from both internal and external customers, including, but not limited to, Product Lifecycle Management, Supply Continuity, and Design for Manufacturability. The role focuses on medium and high-complexity issues requiring a quick turnaround time and providing key feedback to stakeholders.This position is part of Supplier Engineering and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA, and will be Hybrid. - Use analytical/experimental problem-solving skills to understand hardware, software, reagents, and consumables issues and to be able to quickly analyze and resolve system inter-operability problems.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams with scientists, technical support, and other engineers to create new and resolve determined root-cause issues and collaborate/perform/lead with other team members in the verification, validation, and Change Order submission and implementation of the redesigns.
- Perform and supervise the testing of components and products to ensure compliance with agency standards. Manage 3rd party testing teams to timely project completion and resolution of testing issues.
- Increase global access to PCR testing by ensuring supply chain continuity through Sustaining Engineering.The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- At least 7 years of relevant work including hands-on experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems
- Ability to create and execute test protocols and conduct data analysis to gain insight into the quality and reliability of proposed changes
- Conduct board schematics/layout designs (both analog and digital), troubleshooting, and verification of electronics packaged within tight physical constraints
- Conduct failure investigations related to electrical systems and components with a proven track record in troubleshooting complex electrical issues, driving to root cause, and implementing effective corrective actionsIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
