Pay Range: $17.00/hr - $21.00/hr(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00 pm-11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)Works under FSQA management guidance to ensure compliance with Foster Farms, FSIS/USDA, and customer requirementsInspect productMonitor the production process and perform routine Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) checks in accordance with the food safety and quality programs at the manufacturing site.-- Ensure the process is in control and the product meets the standards set by the company.Ensure compliance to Food Safety systems through monitoring of process and documentationEnsure compliance to QA process controls through monitoring and documentationEnsure food safety documentation meets legal/regulatory requirementsDirect product disposition, including ensuring inventory control and appropriate reconditioning proceduresVerify sanitation practices through pre-operational inspection of equipmentCommunicate to production/maintenance personnel/supervision to resolve quality issuesCommunicate to production/maintenance personnel/supervision to resolve food safety issuesCommunicate with USDA personnel to resolve regulatory issuesThis position will assist in covering vacations, leave of absence, and other shifts as assignedOther duties as assignedMust be able to communicate clearly in English (written and verbal) including documentation of regulatory paperwork and explanation of corrective actionsHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)Proficient on a computer, Excel, Word and OutlookGood organization skills and legible handwritingMust have good interpersonal skills and communication skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet outlined timeframes for monitoring checksAbility to place non-conforming product or equipment on holdFavorable employment record and attendance recordAble to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as neededMust be willing to rotate into various departments with varying QC related job duties as neededMust be able to show up to work daily and be on-time to perform the duties of the positionMust be able to stand for prolonged periods of time (8-12 hours) on a concrete/metal grate floorMust be able to work in cold environments, 40 degrees or hot environment for a RTE plant, up to 100 degreesMust be able to lift from 5-70 lbs. on a daily basis depending on what department assigned to for the shiftProficiency in mathematics to compute checks and compare to established limitsMust be able to stand for prolonged periods of time More...
