Principal Security Architect/Consultant Summary Conexess Group is aiding a nationally known software and services company in their search for a Principal Security Consultant to come onboard full time and help grow their Security Practice. This is a remote position with around 10-15% travel required to meet with current clients. Your main responsibility will be providing security consulting and architecture. Consulting will consist of sales enablement, understanding customer's "why" and problem statement, and determining best course of action to be a value-add partner to our customers. Architecture will consist of creating detailed designs, perform assessments, development runbooks for engineers and lead projects for our customers. Priority of work is as follows: sales enablement (pre-sales), delivery (post-sales) and integration creation. This position will report directly to the CISO and Security Practice Director. Responsibilities - Role is split across sales and delivery. Ideal percentages are split equally, 50/50. However, demand can shift these percentages.
- Perform delivery work for our customers on consulting and/or architecture.
- Work across all our practices, solution architects, and sales teams.
- Create presentations and/or speak with individual contributors, decision makers and/or executives on using our business.
- Create presentations and/or speak with individual contributors, decision makers and/or executives to communicate our solution(s), methodology and/or voice of the customer.
- Build relationships with our sales team and customers to be a trusted advisor.
- Assist with responding to RFI's, RFQ's and RFP's.
- Assist with creating BOM's, SOW's and LOE's.
- Develop collateral and present to customers.
- Create architecture design artifacts (HLD's and LLD's).
- Create pre-sales collateral (presentations, feature matrix, etc).
- Vet new technologies and OEMs in our lab and create cross platform integration(s).
- Train and educate our security team and solution architects.
Requirements - Must be able to speak and communicate in front of groups and at all levels within an organization (individual contributor to C-suite).
- Strong written and verbal skills that range from creating advisory gap assessment reports, architecture diagrams and presenting to all levels of an organization.
- Must be able to be the main point of contact to a customer on security related topics.
- Must be able to present on why and what our security practices covers.
- Must be able to handle first email, first call or first meeting to understand customer needs and communicate who we are and what we do.
- Analyze and assess customer requirements and challenges, identify recommendations for solutions or process improvements, and define a plan to successfully implement proposed solution.
- Co-Develop and Co-Deliver workshops and executive briefings as it pertains to security.
- Approximately 50% professional services delivery/billable time
- Approximately 10-20% travel may be required, depending on demand.
