Veterinary Technician - Per Diem - Veterinary Specialty Hospital, RosevilleAbout Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Roseville: We are--open 24 hours a day and are staffed by a team of highly skilled, compassionate veterinarians and veterinary technicians who are extensively trained in emergency medicine and intensive care.-- We are committed to working closely with the family and family veterinarians in providing the best care for your pet.About the Job: As a Per Diem Veterinary Technician--in the Emergency--you will be responsible for:Triage--incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visitPartnering with DVM's in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and proceduresObtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.--Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessmentExecuting, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic eventsSurgical assisting for minor (non-specialty) proceduresAbout You:Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.Passion for providing the highest quality in patient care.Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant in an animal hospital setting required. Recent graduates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology will be considered.Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and working knowledge of radiographic techniques is required.Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required.Benefits of Working at VSH Roseville:Our compensation for this role typically falls between $22.32--and $30.25.
