What does the role entail?

A Mechanic will be responsible for facilities maintenance including both front of house (meeting space, guest rooms and public areas) and back of house (restaurant, kitchens, laundry and mechanical areas), therefore our candidate must possess strong trouble-shooting ability utilizing plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and mechanical skills.
A Mechanic daily duties might include daily rounds of equipment, performing preventative maintenance on major equipment and systems (using windows based computer system) and responding to work tickets generated through a mobile device app.
Ability to read blue prints and schematics and a minimum of three years building maintenance experience is preferred.
A strong working knowledge of all major building systems, including life-safety systems, is required for this position.
Good communications skills are necessary.
EPA refrigeration certification is a plus.
Does include weekend, overnight and/or swing shift hours due the hotel operating hours.

- EPA Refrigeration or other Trades Certification a plus.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
- Ability to push and pull heavy amounts of weight.
- Must be comfortable working from a scissor lift/ ladder.
- Ability to work outdoors in the sun and sand .
