Job SummaryUnder general supervision of Jennifer Smilowitz, the appointee will work independently to develop marketing strategies and utilize digital communications using multi-media (social media, newsletters, blogs, websites) to promote educational platforms designed to educate consumers and health care providers, educators and advocates on nutrition and health equity. The appointee will co-create and edit digital educational materials including webinars, videos, pod-casts on health and nutrition topics that target consumers and health care providers, educators and advocates. The appointee will track, analyze and report the effectiveness of their marketing strategies and use of digital communications using analytic tools. The appointee will create digital marketing materials including logos, banners, and websites. The appointee be responsible for facilitating local and regional outreach. This position will execute communication strategies related to the program to grow the public's knowledge about it. The appointee will serve as a liaison to physicians, nurses, office and hospital staff (health care professionals), staff from government assistance programs and consumers. The appointee will use web and non-web based platforms to execute the position including: Adobe Premiere Pro video editing tool or similar, Wordpress, Slack, mobile apps, CANVA, Constant Contact, Qualtrics, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Position InformationApply by Date April 25th 2024Salary Range $72,300/annually - $131,100/annuallyAppointment Type ContractNumber of Positions1Percentage of Time 50%Shift Hours Manager will adviseLocation Davis, CA. No eating in the laboratory or during study visits.QUALIFICATIONS Required: Minimum Education/Experience Education - Bachelor's degree in social sciences, communication or similar. Five years' experience in digital marketing and communications. Two years' experience in tracking user analytics and user experience software for reporting and interpreting metrics. Experience with video and audio editing software. Experience with managing marketing and outreach multimedia including Mailchimp or Constant Contact; social media including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Linked-in.Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) Strong and adaptable oral and written communication skills for interacting with consumers and health care industry providers to target individuals from diverse ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds. Attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills to prioritize precision and accuracy in data collection and management, operate independently to solve problems, effectively manage work, and to make decisions. Interpersonal skills to work with individuals of diverse ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds. Preferred:Preferred Education/Experience Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, and web-based applications. Experience working with low-income communities. |
