You will be responsible for drafting designs and preparing drawings utilizing computer-aided drafting systems. Will confer with engineers and other departments to interpret design concepts to determine the nature and type of drawing and coordinate work with others.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Create simple and complex fabrication drawing packages.

? Interpret drawings and correctly revise drawings from marked-up prints.

? Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematic and computer-generated reports.

? Use computer-aided design to assist in design and drawing detail of fabrication parts and assemblies.

? Ability to create or revise drawings from verbal instructions

? Assign part numbers and drawing numbers per company standards.

? Develop new designs with minimal engineering guidance.

? Perform any and all other job-related instructions requested by their supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodations. Includes utilizing 2D and/or 3D CAD skills and engineering tools for the production of sheet metal structure design deliverables including electrical components.

? Coordinate with team members when activities overlap.

? Effectively communicate work status and information needs with the project team, engineering team, and other departments.



QUALIFICATIONS:

? Candidate must also have the ability to create electrical wiring diagrams while meeting in-house standards, maintaining project drawing files and associated records/documentation.

? Must be a self-starter, team player, dependable, detail oriented and deadline driven.

? A minimum of 2-5 years drafting experience and proficiency in SolidWorks and ACAD is required, SolidWorks Sheet Metal Package is a plus. Familiar with sheet metal construction techniques and common shop practices.

? Computer proficient- MS office, Excel, ACAD, SolidWorks

? Able to work independently and as part of a team.

? Able to multitask and prioritize a changing workload in a very fast paced environment.

? Associate Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline.

? Excellent communication skills. Must be able to read and write proficiently in English. Desired Skills/Abilities:
