Our customers include food processors, restaurant operators and grocery retailers.-- While our name may not be familiar to consumers, our products are key components of foods offered by many of the world's best-known companies.Location: Springdale, Arkansas--Summary: Embedded Chef position for Griffith Foods US is a Griffith employee, afforded access and workspace within the key customer Discovery Center South, whose primary purpose is to bridge communications primarily between Customer Chef team, other functional groups, and the Griffith Foods Culinary & Innovation groups.--Position has been established, is offered by key customer Foods, and is an element of the Customer Core Supplier strategy. It is designed to enable a more robust connection to the key customer's Foods Culinary, Marketing, Executive and Product Development teams.--Essential Duties & Responsibilities:--Position will function as a Corporate Chef for Griffith Foods who is dedicated to Customer Foods and its Affiliates. Expectations are that the Embedded Chef will be responsible to promote Griffith products and Griffith Foods business within the Customer Foods business. They will divide their time in thirds and equally perform duties that provide Griffith Foods sales support, Griffith Foods culinary support for the Customer Culinary team, and Customer Foods customer support for the Product Development and Sales teams. Responsible for Culinary representation of Griffith Foods and its products on daily basis within Customer organization. Follows both Customer and Griffith team's guidance in working with Griffith Foods products formulated and demonstrated Customer Foods development projects, presentations and working sessions.Act as the primary culinary liaison to Customer Foods to help manage Culinary projects and revisions from Culinary perspective. Actively supports Griffith Foods Science team in moving established Customer Foods projects in bench and pilot plant development, cuttings, and sensory evaluation of prototypes and products that use Griffith Foods and other Supplier's products and ingredients.Communicates to Griffith Foods Customer Team all details and results of Griffith Foods product evaluations at Customer Foods as well as Customer's directions for revisions. Communicates all activities on a weekly basis, or as required, by Weekly Report to Griffith Foods and participates in update calls involving Customer Culinary leadership and Griffith Foods Culinary and Commercial team representatives. Responsible for maintaining security of all information regarding Product Formulas, business plans and strategy, Griffith Foods ingredient suppliers, other that Customer customers and related confidential information. Build goodwill and draw upon and contribute to the culinary and product expertise exchange between Griffith and Customer operating units. Learn about Customer's organization, ways to deliver on Customer's expectations. Learn about our competition at Customer, their products and ways to deliver quality and services to Customer. Build professional relationships within Customer organization, and with our mutual customers. While following daily direction by Customer Executive Chef, significant guidance is provided by the Griffith Foods Executive Chef and Commercial team. The Embedded Chef works with independence, exercising ingenuity and judgment in the relationship to Griffith Foods, minding Griffith Foods' corporate values and policies, our company's vision and our quality and business commitment to Customer Foods.--Qualifications:--Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.Minimum (2) year AOS degree of Culinary Arts from accredited institution or graduated from a 3-year cooking apprenticeship.BOH Culinary industry experience.Culinary Science degree, food science degree or experience is a plus.Passion for cooking, creative food development and on-going growth of culinary and food science skills.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
