Job Title: RN Obstetric Care Unit (OCU) / Labor & Delivery Location: Chinle, AZ 86503 Duration: 1 year (options for 26 weeks or fulltime) Start Date: Mar 2025 Shift Schedule: 6-7 shifts/2-week period (Can be rotation/ 12 hours) Qualification: License: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in any State of USA Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, FMC - Fetal Monitoring Certification (for Labor & Delivery position) Experience: Shall have 3 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in the Obstetric Care Unit Driving License Degree or Diploma from a professional nursing program Responsibilities: Shall provide full range of Obstetrical and newborn infant care to patients admitted to Obstetric Care Unit (OCU). Knowledge of the nursing process and its application to clinical practice in order to provide individualized, goal- oriented nursing care to the laboring, postpartum, antepartum and newborn patients. Knowledge of scientific and psychosocial nursing theory, principles, spiritual, and social-cultural needs of the Indian patient. Knowledge of biological aspects of disease processes and illness relating to Obstetrical and newborn infants and is able to recognize complications and implement appropriate nursing/therapeutic intervention required. Shall cross train to Women's Health Clinic (WHC) when short staffed. Shall make patient unit assignments, specifically deciding assignment to postpartum, newborn, labor & delivery units. Contractor shall ensure narcotic inventory, daily checks and logs are completed in a timely manner.
