Job Title:Mortgage Warehouse Operations ManagerLocation:BiltmoreWhat you'll do:Our Warehouse Lending teams provide support to mortgage banking companies with short-term, secured revolving credit that enables mortgage bankers to fund and inventory residential mortgage loans until they can be purchased by permanent investors. As a Mortgage Warehouse Operations Support Manager, you will be responsible for managing a group of Mortgage Warehouse Specialists who process advance requests from Mortgage Bankers to close mortgage transaction for consumers or review mortgage collateral documents that secure Warehouse Lines provided by the bank. Utilize your extensive mortgage and management experience to ensure the team; processes all requests in a timely manner, provides superior customer service and adheres to policies and procedures.Supervise and mentor a team of 5-6 Mortgage Warehouse Specialists who process 200-300 transactions per day in the bank's proprietary system. Monitor the team's productivity and quality, lead regular team huddles, provide regular written and verbal feedback. Mentor others to achieve their full potential. Lead regular discussions with customers on their needs and how the bank can be of service. Consistently apply good decision-making techniques pertaining to inquiries, approvals, requests as they apply to existing policies and procedures, keeping within assigned approval limits and using these instances as learning tools for employee development.What we are looking for: - Lead a team that processes 200-300 funding requests per day, lending against residential loans. Ensure the team processes funding requests within several minutes of receiving requirement documents. Ensure the team reviews key documents to validate data accuracy prior to completing funding requests.
- Lead a team that reviews mortgage collateral documents that secure borrowing facilities to ensure data matches information provided by customers; provides exceptional customer service in responding to customer's questions or requests. Ensure collateral documents are shipped on a timely basis to investors that will purchase loans.
- Lead and participate in department projects, including testing disaster recovery, UAT testing of system enhancements and other ad hoc projects.
- Ability to multitask and function in a past faced environment.
- Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.
- Actively participates in assuring quality control in regards to audits and certifications.What you need to have:
- Strong mortgage banking experience, preferably in processing, closing or post closing (5+ years of direct experience).
