General Purpose: Power Platform Automation Engineer is responsible for leveraging the capabilities of Microsoft's Power Platform to streamline business processes, improve efficiency, and drive digital transformation within an organization. Designs, develops, implements, and maintains automation solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform. This platform includes tools like Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents. Essential Duties: - Designs, builds and maintains scalable, automated data pipelines to enable Reporting, Data Visualization, Advanced Analytics, Data Science, and Machine Learning solutions.
- Design scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.
- Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and process improvement using the Power Platform.
- Define and document target processes, system integrations, and data flows, recommending best practices and industry standards to enhance business operations.
- Configure and customize Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, Power BI reports, and Power Virtual Agents.
- Establish best practices and solution governance frameworks for Power Platform implementations.
- Train and support "citizen developers" within the organization: provide comprehensive and accessible instruction on the tools, platforms, and methodologies relevant to their development goals.
- Conduct stakeholder meetings, workshops, and presentations to communicate technical concepts, progress, and recommendations effectively.
- Stay updated on the latest developments, features, and best practices related to the Power Platform and Microsoft technologies.
- Create knowledge capital that can be leveraged to accelerate project delivery, improve quality and to secure new engagements. Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience, including expertise in Power Platform or D365 delivery as well as application deployment and/or distributed system implementation
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, with expertise in Microsoft Power Platform components Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences
