Department Name College Of Law Job Description The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual for the position of Department Human Resources Specialist. The successful candidate will work with the ASU Law Human Resources team all daily functions, including but not limited to timecard and payroll management, student and staff recruitment, maintaining personnel files, and other challenging administrative HR functions. The Department Human Resources Specialist will report to the Department Human Resources Manager at ASU Law. Job Description The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual for the position of Department Human Resources Specialist. The successful candidate will work with the ASU Law Human Resources team all daily functions, including but not limited to timecard and payroll management, student and staff recruitment, maintaining personnel files, and other challenging administrative HR functions. The Department Human Resources Specialist will report to the Department Human Resources Manager at ASU Law. Requisition ID 100499BR Working Environment Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse (75%); required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (10%). Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (5%). Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.; Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.; Supervises designated employees that include hiring, training, evaluations, disciplinary actions and scheduling. This position reports to the department administrator. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND two (2) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
