Technician / Technologist Location: Sitka, AK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Allied Manager/Director Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Allied Management Duration: Full Time Shift: Days Hours per Shift: Not specified Experience: 5 years in Radiology Management and supervision License: Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) Certifications: Registered Mammographer preferred, Registered US Technologist preferred, Basic Life Support Must-Have: Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology 5 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist PACS training CT technologist experience preferred MRI technologist experience preferred Knowledge of Federal, state, and accreditation regulations related to radiology services Digitized imaging MQSA requirements Description: Oversees activities of the Radiology program. Tracks radiology studies coming into the facility to ensure studies are properly submitted and reported. Provides PACS training for appropriate employees. Assists with radiology transcription issues. Assures that radiology equipment is appropriately maintained and inspected as required by regulatory agencies. Works directly with clinic administrators and medical directors to ensure quality. Responsible for Radiology equipment quotes. Creates and maintains Radiology policies and procedures. Manages radiation protection monitoring program for all employees exposed to radiation. Works with Finance to maintain the radiology chargemaster and identify areas for improved revenue capture. Ensures all quality assurance/control activities are being performed. Prepares reports as necessary and required. Responsible for lead apron testing. Ensures training and competency of staff who perform radiologic exams. Supervises radiology employees daily. Performs timely employee evaluations. Ensures competencies of staff who perform radiologic exams. Performs any radiologic exam that the employee is qualified and competent to perform.
