Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1 years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract position is available in Bessemer, AL, for a skilled professional with expertise in school psychology or psychometrics. This role involves working collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students success by identifying learning, emotional, or behavioral needs and contributing to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Key Responsibilities: Screen students for disabilities and provide counseling support. Administer psychological evaluations and interpret test results. Evaluate students based on referrals from teachers and school administrators. Collect comprehensive student histories covering educational, social, and medical background. Conduct student interviews and observe behavior in typical school settings. Prepare detailed reports to be included in official student records. Complete legal evaluation requests and provide written documentation. Support and collaborate with IEP teams to ensure appropriate student services. For School Psychometrists: Administer psychological/neuropsychological tests according to established protocols, score tests, and manage data collection and reporting. Track test timings, identify unusual results, and promptly address testing issues. Assist in research efforts by collecting and analyzing psychometric data. Support school personnel with evaluations and eligibility assessments for special education services. Qualifications and Experience: Background in school psychology or psychometrics. Experience with psychological testing and evaluation in an educational setting. Familiarity with IEP development and special education processes. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to adhere to testing protocols and maintain data accuracy.
