About the clinician's workday In-house call shifts can be either 12 or 24 hours, while beeper call shifts are 24 hours. Typical cases include labor and delivery, as well as emergency room situations for obstetric and gynecological emergenciesit's important to note that there is no gynecological robot in the hospital. In obstetrics, care is provided for both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, including services such as ultrasounds and amniocentesis. Labor and delivery cases range from routine to complicated, including vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) and C-sections.
