Barbaricum is seeking an Information Safeguards Analyst to provide support to an active Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programThis individual will provide support to a team tasked with analyzing, reviewing, and recommending approval or denial of Agency-initiated requests to disclose classified and controlled unclassified materials, briefings and other MDA-originated informationSuccessful candidates will assist with orchestrating protective measures to safeguard MDS information from loss, compromise, or unauthorized disclosure, and will support implementation of the MDA Information Security (INFOSEC) Program IAW DoD, MDA, and other non-DoD requirementsThis position is based on-site at Redstone ArsenalResponsibilities:
Perform analysis, develop plans, attend meetings, prepare reports, conduct surveys, maintain and update databases, and conduct training.
Perform reviews of draft Preliminary Inquiries, recommend document corrections to the Inquiry Official.
Coordinate with the MDA CERT and Classification Management for reported network spillagesLead Newcomer Orientation Briefings.
Assist in the management of and providing support to Security Managers as part of the Agency Security Manager programCoordinate Quarterly Security Manager meetings.
Coordinate scheduling and perform INFOSEC Reviews (IPRs) of program areas; draft memoranda for IPR resultsDraft memoranda and associated staffing documentation for task response packages.
Maintain metrics; produce monthly and annual Security Incident status reports and completed IPRsTravel to perform IPRsMonitor the Accountable Mail tracker (AMT) tool and contact senders who have classified packages that are showing past due.
Perform Document Marking Classification Reviews and document the reviews using the MDA Form 100, the Program Protection Marking Review Form or forms provided in the taskingDraft INFOSEC related Communication Round Table announcements, portal and kiosk bannersAssist in the management of and providing support to the Agency Top Secret Control ProgramUpdate task database and file system foldersMaintain metrics; produce monthly and annual task metric reportsQualifications:
Active DoD Secret clearance required 8+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex DoD/security programs Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree relevant to the Security/CI fields preferred More...
