Based in our CUDAHY, WI location, you will have a variety of responsibilities that include working through technical control details, designing control circuits, sizing conductors, overcurrent protection and components, drawing schematics and panel layout in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN, creating work standards, working with the internal team, vendors and contractors on the electrical design of equipment and systems. The Electrical Engineer is part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of mechanical, electrical, and PLC engineers as well as project managers, designers, sales, application engineers, and new product development on our Engineered to Order and Configure to Order businesses. The Electrical Engineer will report to our Engineering Manager.Success in this position requires the candidate to work effectively in both a collaborative and independent environment, must be safety conscious, good communication skills are a must both internally and externally with customers, high attention to detail is critical, and have a strong motivation for delivering project objectives.AS AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, YOU WILL:Manage customer electrical equipment projectsSupport team members on electrical system product improvements and standardsServe as subject matter expert and work directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and provide product trainingRead and interpret electrical schematics as well as piping and instrumentation drawingsWork with AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN engineering toolsProvide technical support to Vilter's PLC controls platformWHO YOU ARE:You include others in executing decisions creating a buy-in mentality. You stay aligned with your goals and stay productive.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Must be a self-starter, work autonomously, see projects through on time with the first time rightFirm understanding of electrical controls and logicKnowledge and experience with of power and motor control circuits, motors, motor starters, and VFDsIn-depth experience and proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN engineering toolsFirm understanding of electrical controls and logic.Must have excellent organizational skills.A firm understanding of how to read and interpret electrical schematicsMust have excellent written and oral communication skillsLegal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided in this role.
