Job Description

* Addressing daily HVAC production issues brought in from the production team

* Designing, modeling, and checking of HVAC systems

* Working with other departments (piping, structural, electrical to complete designs for Frigate vessels

* Attending module meetings to discuss and plan for each HVAC project piece

* Checking designs in AutoCAD or Ship Constructor to confirm NAVSEA compliance

* Purchasing specification pieces to fill in any HVAC gaps that may be missing in the "checking" phase of the design

Skills and Requirements

* 2+ years of experience in maritime HVAC Engineering -- fans, cooling systems, cooling coils, ductwork, etc.

* ShipConstructor OR AutoCad software knowledge

* Maritime HVAC design and modeling experience in any software

* Proficient in Microsoft Office * Knowledge of HVAC calculations- heat loads, pressure drop calculations, pressure loss calculations

* Experience reading and writing technical HVAC specifications such as HVAC purchase speccifactions null
