They collaborate with other disciplines to ensure high-quality care for all residents. The DON supports and adheres to the philosophy, policies, and objectives of the Company. They also monitor nursing services outcomes by coordinating facility committees and implementing effective nursing interventions through the quality assurance program. The DON upholds the highest level of quality care at all times and exercises independent judgment and discretion in applying regulations and policies.Qualifications:- Registered Nurse (RN) with state licensure (BSN preferred)- Minimum of three (3) years of successful management experience in long-term care, demonstrated by consistent compliance with federal surveys and low nursing staff turnover- Proficient knowledge of nursing home regulations, Nurse Practice Act, MDS procedures, and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement guidelines- Genuine care and interest in elderly and physically/mentally challenged individuals, with an ability to establish positive relationships with residents, families, employees, and the community- Strong communication skills- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodationAdditional Info:Our company is a leading provider of short-term post-acute rehabilitation and long-term nursing care. We currently operate skilled nursing centers in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, and Wisconsin, offering nearly 4,000 beds. Our facility in Sparta has approximately 80 beds and provides short-term rehabilitation, respite care, and long-term assistance.
