*Job Title: Accounting Assistant**Location:* Madison, WI*Job Description:*We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Assistant to join our client's team. The Accounting Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting their accounting department by performing various clerical and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.*Responsibilities:** Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling vendor statements* Prepare and submit invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness* Assist in maintaining accurate financial records by entering data into accounting software* Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions* Assist with payroll processing and related tasks* Prepare financial reports and summaries as needed* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes* Provide general administrative support to the accounting department, such as filing documents, answering phones, and responding to inquiries*Requirements:** Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred* 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internship experience may be considered)* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks experience preferred)* Strong attention to detail and accuracy* Excellent organizational and time-management skills* Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively* Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team* Basic understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hourSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to FridayWork Location: In personby Jobble More...
