Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician will ensure production equipment continues to operate safely and efficiently. You must be highly motivated and able to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. We are seeking highly organized and detail-oriented candidates, with strong multitasking and time-management skills.Wage:Based on ExperienceSchedule:Monday - Friday, 5 am - 1 pm, rotating weekends as required.Essential DutiesTroubleshoot facility and processing equipment in a timely manner to reduce mechanical down timeS etup and teardown of facility and processing equipment to prepare for repair, replacement, or PMsRecord daily time worked on equipment and other logbooks paperwork (redzone)Manage the work order and PM backlog. Assist with determining replacement parts needed for repairsConfer and work with outside vendors for facility and/or equipment repairOperate special maintenance equipment like welders, grinder, ohm meters and predictive maintenance tools, etc.Build and fabricate special mechanical parts and devicesProgram AC drives, chart recorders, pressure sensors, and flow meters for control of motor at specific ratesCalibrate scales, pressure and temperature sensors and related equipment to keep accurate readingsWrite and monitor guide on equipment such as SOP, PM schedule, and training procedures to keep equipment running properly and efficiently using Microsoft programsKnowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and the ability to train other craftsmen on how to properly utilize the predictive testing equipment such as; Infrared Camera, Meg Ohm Meter, etc.Analyze source(s) of problems to determine root cause of problem and diagnose repeat breakdowns or malfunctionsWork cross functionally and get input from all departments to diagnose problems with production and/or qualityAssist with coordination of special projects to reduce costs, ensure safety, and enhance qualityUnderstand and follow procedures for DNR/USDA/FDA/SQF/BRC/OSHATroubleshoot plant utility systems, such as boilers, refrigeration engine room, HVAC, and heat pumps to reduce mechanical down timeUnderstand normal operating conditions and ability to identify when systems are running outside of ideal operating settingsField off shift calls and assist in troubleshooting utility related concerns, understanding a return to the plant may be requested by upper management.Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or requiredREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED 2-year certificate from college or a technical school or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years related experience and/or training.ESSENTIAL SKILLSRead and understand electrical and mechanical prints.Knowledge and understanding of electrical apparatus such as transformers, wires, etc.Strong Math SkillsStrong problem-solving skillsStrong computer skills in Microsoft Office and CMMSStrong electrical concepts (demonstrated knowledge of control wiring, programming and operation of various control panels, etc.)Strong mechanical knowledge (drive systems & alignment, seal replacements, etc.)Strong pneumatic & hydraulic knowledge (replace and repair; check valves; filter assembly, etc.)Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement toolsObtain valid company-issued forklift licenseBasic counting and math skillsEffective time management and organizational skillsWork independently as well as in a team environmentEffective interpersonal communication skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsMaintain confidentialityRespond professionally in situations with employee/vendor/consumer issuesEQUIPMENT:Ipad, Cell phone, hand tools, welding equipmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Mental Effort Work is performed under strong demands in a fast-paced environment Generates suggestions to improve work Apply Continuous Improvement tools Displays empathy, understanding, and patience with employees and external customersPhysical RequirementsStands and walks/moves to various locations as neededPush and pull up to 150 lbs.Climbing stairsLift up to 50 lbs.Frequent bending and stoopingWorking ConditionsGeneral manufacturing and warehousing environments.Exposure to moderate noise from factory processesFlexible and willing to work extended hours when necessaryBenefits:Benefits starting day oneHealth, vision, and dental insurance (with 4 different plans to choose from)Quarterly bonusPaid Breaks (Production roles for full 40-hour week)80 hrs of PTO (incremented over time)401k with up to 4% company matchEmployee Assist ProgramRefer a Friend bonusVarious company eventsPaid parental leaveEducation and training opportunitiesTuition Reimbursement programShort-term and long-term disability paid by the companyBasic Life Insurance paid by the company9 paid holidays#Hpdirectby Jobble More...
