Join our team as a member of the General Maintenance team. Plant One Maintenance is responsible for providing basic grounds keeping, custodial duties, and set-up/teardown activities for the Columbus campus. This position assists with printing and mailroom activities when needed. The role is also responsible for intermediate-level mechanical, electrical, HVAC and auto maintenance duties. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all expected position quality levels are met.*Responsibilities** Performs intermediate electrical maintenance duties such as install receptacles, run wires to panel box, etc.* Performs intermediate mechanical maintenance duties such as repair air conditioners, pump motors, wiring, etc.* Set-ups, tears down and cleans for special WI activities including the company picnic, shareholders meeting, Muirfield, Huntington Park, Double Eagle, etc.* Performs groundskeeping for all WI locations, including grass cutting, mulching, snow removal, salt sidewalks, gutter repair and unclogging, basic roof repair, painting, upkeep of flower beds, sprinkler system etc.* Installs, sets up, tears down cubicles, desks, and other office items.* Performs intermediate plumbing duties including replacing toilets, sinks, drinking fountains, etc.* Performs intermediate HVAC duties, such as repair work on compressors and controllers.* Performs intermediate auto maintenance including mowers, replacing starters and generators.* Performs occasional janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning, and waxing WI locations.* Conducting routine inspections: The technician inspects the facility daily to document normal operational conditions on facility support equipment and identify maintenance needs, such as malfunctioning equipment, plumbing issues, electrical problems, structural damage, or excessive use of air, water, sewer, etc.* Performing repairs and maintenance: They are skilled in various trades (HVAC, boiler, air compressors) and can handle tasks like repairing plumbing fixtures, fixing bassystems, maintaining HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, and addressing structural issues (i.e.. Roofing)* Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Facilities maintenance technicians diagnose problems and implement effective solutions. They may identify and resolve issues with equipment, systems, or facilities to prevent further damage or disruptions.* Conducting preventive maintenance: This involves regular inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and system performing preventive maintenance, technicians can minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment as well as reduce operating costs.* Coordinating repairs and services: Facilities maintenance technicians often work with external vendors or contractors to schedule and oversee repairs or services expertise. They communicate with contractors, monitor work progress, and ensure quality standards are met.* Responding to emergencies: When urgent maintenance issues or emergencies arise, such as power outages, leaks, or facility equipment failures, technicians need to promptly minimize disruptions and address the problem effectively.* Keeping records and documentation: Maintaining accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities is crucial.* Ensuring compliance with regulations: Facilities maintenance technicians may need to comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
