FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Human ResourcesSummaryUnder the direction of the HR Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator serves as a point of contact for routine employee inquiries, both in person and on the phone, including, but not limited to benefits, employee relations, recreation and recruitment. Provide administrative support to the HR manager and HR team.Primary responsibilities will include:Assist with recruiting efforts by arranging interviews for potential employees, check applicant referencesReceive authorization from new hires for drug screens and background checksFollow up with applicant references, offer letters, explain company policies and benefitsProcess all new hire paperwork with new employee and conduct new hire orientationEnter new hires into E-Verify (Employment eligibility verification)Assist with 401K benefit orientation and processing enrollment for eligible employeesCoordinate open positions with personnel agencies and manage the temporary talent processMaintain personnel files and records in compliance with retention requirementsManage temporary hours by turning in worked hours to agenciesReset Passwords for the HR kiosksBackup to Receptionist to answer phone and process vendors entering the buildingInform HR Manager of any issues and concerns immediately to help address in a timely mannerAssist with administering employee benefits programsAssist with employee training initiativesWork with Payroll to manage employee changes and time-off requestsAbility to interact with employees at all levels in the companyAssist with planning and coordination of company events (company picnic, health fair, birthday recognition, service awards, holiday celebrations, etc.)Help drive consistencies across the organization (policies and guidelines)Ability to maintain confidentiality at all timesSaturday work mandatory (when necessary)Good attendance is a mustOther duties as assignedExperience and Education:Associates Degree in Human Resources or a combination of higher education and experienceMinimum of 1-year experienceMust be Bilingual (English / Spanish)Must have working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws relating to human resourcesWorking knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).Strong communication skills (writing, oral and listening)Excellent interpersonal skillsAble to multitask in a fast pace environmentPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.FunctionAmount of TimeNoneUnder 1/31/3 to 2/3Over 2/3StandXWalkXSitXUse hands to finger, handle or feelXReach with hands and armsXClimb or balanceXStoop, kneel, crouch or crawlXThis job requires that weight be lifted, or force be exerted as reflected below.FunctionAmount of TimeNoneUnder 1/31/3 to 2/3Over 2/3Up to 10 poundsXUp to 25 poundsXUp to 50 poundsXUp to 100 poundsXMore than 100 poundsXWORK ENVIRONMENT:Cold Temperature: More...
