Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse/licensed Nurse, this position will assist with routine and repetitive patient care activities on a nursing unit. This position also performs specific clerical, organizational and patient-focused activities. The patient-focused tasks will be supportive in nature.

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels (CSRH-NB), nestled in the heart of downtown New Braunfels, is a full-service, 94-private bed facility that continues to expand to meet the needs of New Braunfels' strong population growth. Innovative equipment and procedures are utilized, including an Outpatient Imaging Center, orthopedic and surgical services, rehabilitation, a renovated birthing center, including 24/7 neonatal coverage, emergency care, wound care/hyperbaric center, 3D mammography, and comprehensive heart care, from diagnostics to open-heart surgery. -

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent requiredBasic patient care skills requiredBasic computer skills requiredAbility to follow detailed oral and written instructionsAbility to interact professionally with patients, families, physicians, and fellow AssociatesRequires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to remain calm in stressful situationsBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredPatient care experience in an acute care hospital highly preferredCurrent Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is requiredCurrent BLS (American Heart Association) is required
