We are fully committed to providing compassionate, family-oriented short and long-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care.Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN) Infection Control Specialist/Staff Development:Registered Nurse (RN) with effective leadership & supervisory skills in a long-term care settingCertification neededMust have knowledge of state and federal regulationsMust successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) Infection Control Specialist/Staff Development:Report all reportable diseases to the county and state health departmentsAssist with in-services on wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and incontinence for the nursing staff.Participate in planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service training classes for CNAs/GNAs and any other nursing personnel that provide instructions on how to do the job, and ensure a well-educated nursing service department.Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.Assist in training department personnel in identifying tasks that involve potential exposure to blood or body fluids.A team centered culture that supports our values of S.H.A.R.E.
