As we grow, we value people ready to grow a career that makes an impact far beyond just our daily workplace.As a Ready to Mow Technician, your more typical responsibilities will include:Performs basic diagnostics, maintenance and service repairs on customer owned turf equipment at the customer's residenceParticipates in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive productsMaintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipmentMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments Job Requirements Include:Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual proceduresBasic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipmentAbility to operate vehicles (16ft. cube van) and equipment used for diagnostic purposesProficient oral and written communication skillsAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyBasic Service Technician certification preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience requiredValid drivers license and good driving record required to operate fleet vehiclesMust have reliable attendanceAbility to use basic computer functionsAbility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.Physical Demandso Physical Effort: Mechanics constantly work on machines, which requires physical demands on a daily basis. They must be able to move on/under machines to perform repairs and services. They often have to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly without assistance. There will be occasions where small engine technicians must operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes as well. They frequently stand for long periods of time and often kneel, bend, lay on their backs, etc. to perform repairs, services, and/or maintenance.o Working Conditions: Mechanics are constantly working to perform their tasks and duties. Work is performed on even surfaces on a hard floor.
