- Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul automotive vehicles.
- Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly.
- Inspect vehicle engine and -mechanical/electrical -components to diagnose issues accurately.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections.
- Inspect and adjust tire pressures, shock absorbers, and other automotive components.
- Test and repair brakes, exhaust systems, suspensions, engine components, and other automotive parts.
- Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings.
- Use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Keep records of customer/vehicle service and repair histories.
- Explain diagnostic results and proposed repairs to customers.
- Stay up to date on factory technical bulletins and attend educational workshops.
- Follow manufacturer's specifications and safety protocols.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License.
- Vocational/Trade School Certificate, High School Diploma, GED.
- 2 years of direct C/B Level Automotive Technician experience preferred (Honda or similar dealership).
- Knowledge of diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and Saturdays as needed.Essential Job Skills:
