There may be occasions when ICU Contract RN is reassigned to Medical Surgical unit and assigned to care for max of 4 patients in that area and or assigned to function as helping handsWeekend Requirement: Yes, 4 weekend shifts per 4 week scheduleHoliday Requirement: YesRequired Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, & CPIPreferred Certifications: OCN & CCRNScrubs: Teal, White, or a Combo of BothUnit Info: Patients pre and post-kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants. This unit frequently manages patients with encephalopathy, r/o kidney rejection, acute kidney injury, elevated creatinine, or patients that require esophageal tamponade. Transplant patients stay on unit until discharge and when stepped down from ICU status, they are staffed at 1:3 ratio. Bedside Conscious SedationType of equipment includes but is not limited to the following: Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis machines, NxStage dialysis, Veratron Bladder Scanner, & Arctic Sun TMSUnit: EJGH - Nursing Pool - 70009
