This position requires the ability to travel 25-40% depending on assigned workload. This is a diverse group that supports Industrial Gases (IG) North America capital projects, strategic planning, turnaround planning, and turnaround execution. This allows our team to provide specialized services and additional capacity for infrequent events to operational assets. This role reports to the Regional Project Lead.Roles and Responsibilities:Lead assigned capital projects (standalone projects and projects within plant outages) and manage all engineering, design, and construction resourcesDevelop estimates, funding documents, schedule, and ongoing forecasts for plant executed projects within SAPEnsure all projects receive adequate process hazard reviews and ORIs and that all recommendations are completed in a timely mannerEnsure inherent process safety is adhered to on all project designsProvide field supervision / support during projects executionManage Project SafetyMaintain projects on budget and scheduleEnsure all projects meet the operability needs of the customerBasic understanding of operating plant environment.Conduct Safety Kickoff Meeting with contractors and operations team prior to start of project executionComplete JSA reviews and fill out JSA Review form daily during execution of projectAttend and contribute to monthly Safety MeetingsRequired Skills / Abilities:Strong organizational and planning skillsStrong leadership abilitiesManufacturing plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects experienceRole model within Project Engineering function:High ethical standards - unwilling to compromise on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirementsOrganizational credibility - able to influence business area, engineering and manufacturing managers in decision making processObtain TWIC, passport and pass refinery background checks.
